The Wading River Fire Department is in the final week of its annual Stuff-a-Bus food drive. The school bus, provided by First Student Bus Co., is nearly full, but due to the past weeks of snowy weather, the bus could still use more non-perishable food items, to finally fill it up.

The bus is located at the Fire Headquarters on North Country Road, Wading River. The food drive, which began on Thanksgiving Day and will end on New Year’s Day, will provide food to seven local churches and food pantries, when their shelves are empty after the holiday season.

Food can be dropped off the bus and placed in a bin outside the door. The delivery day is Sunday, Jan. 4, when the bus leaves at 9 am and drives to each of the pantries, after the church services. Please help to benefit local food pantries, by donating this final week.
