Riverhead High School students earned multiple nominations for this year’s Teeny Awards, with performers and student choreographers recognized for their work in the school’s productions of “Legally Blonde” and “Descendants the Musical.”
Senior Olivia Sulzer received a nomination for lead role in a musical for her portrayal of Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde,” while Eden Greenwood earned a supporting role nomination for playing Paulette Buonufonte. Molly Parsons was nominated twice — for outstanding performer in a musical for her role as Serena in “Legally Blonde” and for outstanding student choreography for the show’s full choreography.
Riverhead students also received recognition in the outstanding playbill or poster design category, where Jarrell Gilliam and Molly Parsons were nominated for their work on “Descendants the Musical.” The school also earned a judges’ choice nomination for “Delightful Duet Dynamics Between Mal & Ben” from the production.
The Teeny Awards recognize excellence in high school theater productions across Long Island, honoring student achievement in acting, music, choreography, design and performance.
