The Polish Town Civic Association will host the 2026 Polish Town Fair on Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16 in Riverhead’s Polish Town.
The two-day fair, held rain or shine, will feature traditional Polish culture, food, music and crafts, according to the Polish Town Civic Association. This year’s fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Saturday’s program begins with an opening ceremony at 10 a.m., featuring the Polish and American anthems, dignitary guests and the Polish Town Queen. Music by the Blue Sky Band will follow on the main stage from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Live accordion and DJ sets by DJ Robert and DJ Janusz will take place in the Civic Folk Garden from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at no charge.
A Mass will be celebrated at St. Isidore’s Church at 11 a.m. Saturday. A Polish wedding and parade will begin at noon, with the parade proceeding from the church to the civic association grounds.
Pierogi-eating contests will be held on the main stage both days, with the men’s contest at 1 p.m. and the women’s contest at 1:30 p.m.
A party “under the tent” will take place Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Civic Folk Garden, with music by the Blue Sky Band. Admission to the evening party is $20.
Sunday’s fair begins at 10 a.m. Music by the Blue Sky Band will be featured on the main stage from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A Polish school performance is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on the main stage. Music in the Civic Beer Garden will continue all day at no charge.
A kids corner will be available both days on Pulaski Street, with activities including a petting zoo, pony rides, kids games, crafts and firefighter drills.
