Bloods gang

Suffolk DA Ray Tierney on Thursday announced the indictment of 31 alleged members of a subset of the Bloods street gang, including six Riverhead residents, on a slew of felony charges including murder, attempted murder, assault, weapons possession and other charges.

Jason Langhorn, 40, an associate of the Riverhead-based “Red Stone Gorilla” subset of the Bloods gang, was one of three shooters in the November 2015 mistaken-identity murder of a man in parked car in Riverside.

Lawrence Lewis, 38, of Calverton, was convicted yesterday on charges of murder, racketeering, narcotics possession and distribution, forcible rape, sex trafficking, multiple firearms offenses and witness tampering, after a four-week jury trial in federal district court in Central Islip.

Jason Langhorn of Riverhead, along with two other members of the Bloods, fired 39 shots into a car parked on Old Quogue Road in Riverside hey thought was occupied by a rival gang member in November 2015 and instead killed Thomas Lacolla, 27.
