Firefighters knocked down an early morning blaze on Old Quogue Road in Riverside Monday.

The event featured photos with Santa, a raffle, a performance by the Riverhead Middle School Show Choir—where they sang traditional Christmas carols—an outdoor fire, cookies and hot chocolate to fend off the cold.

Two local fire departments held annual memorial services Sunday, honoring deceased members in separate events in Flanders and Riverhead. Photos.
