Outdoor weddings can continue this year at the Manor Lane restaurant that has been a magnet for noise complaints by irate neighbors and the subject of ongoing legal disputes with the Town of Riverhead. A State Supreme Court judge last week refused to impose a preliminary injunction against outdoor events, outdoor catering and the use of tents at the Dimon Estate in Jamesport.
The Riverhead Zoning Board of Appeals has again denied the appeal by the owner of the former Jamesport Manor Inn concerning its continuing catering operations. — but the lengthy ongoing legal battle continues.
A land-use dispute stretching back nearly two decades between the Town of Riverhead and a Jamesport restaurant got a new hearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals last week — nearly eight years after a State Supreme Court judge ordered the hearing be held.
