Riverhead Little League will host a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Sunday, March 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Jerry and the Mermaid, 469 East Main Street, Riverhead.

Chef Jerry Dicecco hosted the Riverhead Middle School French Club for a culinary field trip, serving up frog legs, escargot, moules-frites and crème brûlée to 8th graders.

Jerry Dicecco, owner-chef at Jerry and the Mermaid restaurant on East Main Street, has organized a fundraising effort to buy turkeys and sides for 50 Thanksgiving baskets for needy families in the Riverhead school district ny the Riverhead High School Key Club and Cooking Club.

Downtown Riverhead restaurateur Jerry Dicecco aims to raise $100,000 to feed out-of-work local hospitality workers and their families this winter.

Burglars forcibly entered Jerry and the Mermaid at 469 E. Main Street and Outerbanks, a mile-and-a-half away at the Indian Island golf course on Cross River Drive. The break-ins occurred within about an hour of each other early this morning.
