Store closings

Christmas Tree Shops, which opened a store on Route 58 in Riverhead in 2013, is closing all 70 of its stores. Liquidation sales are ongoing, with the last stores expected to permanently close by the end of August.

Pier 1 Imports, which announced last week it plans to close up to 450 of its 942 stores, is closing its Riverhead location.

Liquidators have begun working to sell off the stock at the Riverhead Kmart store, which is slated to close its doors Nov. 25. Sixty-five people will be laid off, according to a company filing with the state labor department.
