Michael Fegan of Merrick has been appointed senior vice president and chief information officer of Suffolk County National Bank, the bank announced last week.
Fegan has more than 23 years experience in technology and product management in the financial services industry, according to a Nov. 17 press release issued by the bank.
“Michael Fegan’s expertise in fostering an environment of product and technology innovation, and aligning business and technology strategies, will be a welcome addition to SCNB’s information technology and operations teams,” Suffolk County National Bank president and CEO J. Gordon Huszagh said.
Prior to joining SCNB, Fegan has held several senior positions with both Citigroup and JP Morgan Chase and most recently served as the senior vice president of technology for Omgeo (jointly-owned subsidiary of Thomson-Reuters and Depository Trust Clearing Company.)
A graduate of Northwestern University, Fegan currently serves on the university’s Alumni Admissions Council. In addition, he is a member of the NY Software Process Improvement Network and is a child sponsor for Plan International USA, an organization devoted to achieving lasting improvements in the quality of life of vulnerable children in developing countries.
