This hazardous weather outlook is for Southern Connecticut…northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.

.Day one…today and tonight.

An arctic front will pass through the region late this afternoon into evening. Just ahead of it…a scattered to broken band of snow showers with embedded snow squalls is expected to pass through the region from west to east during the mid afternoon into evening hours. A quick coating to inch of snow is possible with any heavier snow showers or snow squalls…with potential for icing of untreated roadways as temperatures rapidly drop below freezing. The National Weather Service will alert you to any imminent threats of snow squalls with special weather statements.

.Days two through seven…Friday through Wednesday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time that would meet national weather service warning criteria.
