Riverhead’s Poe Fest 2015 kicked off with a Halloween parade down Main Street Friday evening.
A large crowd of spectators, many wearing costumes of their own, lined both sides of the street to watch costumed characters, including Poe himself, march along. Zombies, ghouls, the headless horseman and Ghost Busters paraded in the unusual night-time parade.
The Edgar Allen Poe Festival, now in its second year, continues throughout Halloween weekend with readings, performances, exhibits and more. See the full schedule here.
