The Harlem Wizards delighted Riverhead students today when they visited schools with a very special message: “no one needs to be a bully.”
Tojo Henderson, a Wizard “since 1965” as he told Phillips students this afternoon with a wink, said no one should have to resort to bullying to get their way. “And if you are bullied — find a teacher or a parent or a grown up you trust — and let them know. That’s the best thing you can do.”
Each school got a visit from a Harlem Wizards’ player, in advance of their annual Harlem Wizards Scholarship Fundraiser. The Wizards will face off against the staff of Riverhead schools on November 10 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the Harlem Wizards’ website.
