A Wading River home was burglarized by someone who removed the power meter from the electrical panel and then entered the home through a second-story window, according to Riverhead Town Police.
The burglar removed numerous electronic items, jewelry and sports memorabilia from the home on Northside Road, police said in a press release issued early this morning.
A PSEG employee found the power meter in the roadway, police said.
Riverhead Police detectives are investigating. Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
