The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for this area. The watch is in effect until 11 p.m.
“Damaging winds are the primary threat, though large hail and isolated tornadoes remain possible,” National Weather forecasters said.
The weather service encourages trained weather spotters to report significant weather conditions according to standard operating procedures, the agency said in a statement.
