Re John McAuliff’s Guest Column, Racism, Rebranded: We are at a crossroad as a country. We need to stand up and act to fight against racism in this country. We can start by the simple act of voting. And one of the most important actions we can take to combat this slide backwards to the Jim Crow era is to make sure your friends and neighbors are registered to vote.
If you’re not registered, visit vote.org to register. It takes two minutes. Also, contact your political party’s local committee to find out how to get involved.
RiverheadDemocrats.org is the website for the local Democratic Committee. Taking action locally is the best antidote to any despair you may be feeling.
