Officers honored for fast actions to avert tragedy at Riverhead street fair
Two Riverhead police officers and a traffic control officer were honored Tuesday night for their quick response to a speeding driver at the Polish Town Fair Sunday, which officials said prevented injuries to fairgoers and vendors.
