Armed robbery

The Southampton Town Police Department today announced the arrests of two Farmingville residents in connection with an armed robbery in Flanders in September. Police charged Demario L. Weston Jr., 22, and Tiana MacDonald, 24, in the robbery of El Quetzal Deli, located at 790 Flanders Road in Flanders Sept. 23.

The cab driver told police a man approached his cab shortly before 9 p.m. outside 821 East Main St., put a gun to his neck and demanded money, according to the report. The cab driver complied and the man fled the area on foot, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 631-727-4500.

Police said the man used a 9mm ghost gun in both robberies and fired at least 11 shots at a gas station clerk during a hold-up Sunday night. Police also charged a 17-year-old getaway driver and a second teen who had a handgun in his car at Riverhead High School.

Police said a Route 58 gas station employee was held up at gunpoint last night. After complying with the suspect's demand for money, the victim ran from the building and the robber chased and fired his gun at him, police said.

Riverhead Town Police are looking for two men who mugged a pedestrian at gunpoint last night at about 8 o'clock across from the apartment complex at 821 East Main Street.

A group of men beat and robbed a 24-year-old Hampton Bays man at a house on Fanning Street Tuesday afternoon, police said. Three suspects were located and arrested but several others remain at large, according to Riverhead Town Police.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police today released surveillance camera images and video of two suspects in a pair of armed robberies at local gas stations Feb. 24.

Riverhead Police are seeking the public's help to locate and identify the man who held up the Walgreens Pharmacy on Route 58 on Sept. 1.

A man was beaten and robbed at knifepoint on West Second Street Friday night at about 9:20 p.m.

Police are searching for a man described as white, 40 to 45 years old, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall with an average build.
