Three men are facing felony robbery charges after beating and robbing a man at a Fanning Street residence Tuesday, according to Riverhead Town Police.

Police said they were called to 54 Fanning Street at 4:47 p.m. by a man reporting he was the victim of a robbery there. The victim, 24, a Hampton Bays resident, told responding officers he was hanging out with a friend when he was approached by a group of men who repeatedly struck him. He told police one of the assailants displayed a handgun. The suspects forcibly removed cash and a cell phone from the vitim, police said. They then fled the area in one or more vehicles, police said. The victim gave police a description of a getaway vehicle.

A short time later, a vehicle matching the description given by the victim was located on East Main Street and several of the occupants were identified as being involved in the robbery, according to police.

Terrance T. Latimore Jr., 21, of Riverhead, Taiquon T. Trent, 19, and Terrance T. Trent, 22, both of Westhampton Beach were arrested and each charged with robbery in the first degree, police said.

Several individuals involved in the incident remain at large and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
