The 30-year-old Wading River man beat and attempted to rape a woman at gunpoint behind a Northampton bowling alley Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Alvah Randall Jr., 28, of Jamesport, allegedly cut a female acquaintance from Riverhead with a screwdriver during an argument, according to a police press release.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole money from a restaurant in downtown Riverhead Sept. 26.
