Police have brought additional charges against a man previously charged in the rash of vehicle break-ins in Riverside and Flanders. They also arrested another man who they said was observed "casing cars" in Flanders.

On a day that saw the arrest of a sitting town councilman on drug trafficking charges, residents of Flanders and Riverside packed the Southampton Town Board meeting room to demand more police presence to fight drug-related crime in their neighborhoods. Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst announced a deal with the town police union that she said would put two steady, full-time patrol units in the area beginning in January.

Southampton Town Police are searching for three armed men who reportedly robbed a Flanders home at shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Carol Majeski, 58, was charged with stealing more than $330,000 from the estate following the sale of her deceased mother's home. Majeski, one of four children, was removed as executrix of the estate and ruled in contempt of court by the Surrogate, who had her arrested.
