MTA's crossing replacement work Oct. 14 and 15 at Kroemer Avenue will prevent traffic on Kroemer from accessing Rt. 25 (W. Main St.) Police urge motorists to use alternate routes.

A Dodge SUV northbound on Kroemer Avenue attempting to cross Route 58 T-boned a westbound Mazda sedan. The crash occurred at about 7 p.m.

A crash on Horton Avenue sent two people to the hospital, while six people escaped injury in a a second accident on Rt. 58 about a half-hour later.

A woman was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center after her eastbound Toyota Corolla collided with a Honda turning right off of Kroemer Avenue.
