Memorial Service

Riverhead Fire Department held its annual memorial service, roll call and inspection Sunday morning at department headquarters.

Riverhead residents will mark the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks Friday evening at 9/11 Memorial Park on the corner of Sound Avenue and Lt. Thomas Kelly Memorial Drive (Park Road).

The Flanders Fire Department conducted its annual memorial service this morning at Fireman’s Memorial Park, where volunteer firefighters turned out in class A dress uniform to pay their respects to fallen war heroes and deceased members of the department.

A memorial service for Barbara Tocci will be held at the Flanders Cemetery on January 16. All who attend will be asked to do an act of kindness in her name.
