A 16-year-old driver died following a single-car crash on Sound Avenue Saturday night, Riverhead Town Police said in a press release Sunday afternoon.

One car overturned and a second car had heavy front-end damage. At least three other vehicles and a truck were involved.

A 54-year-old man who crashed on Schultz Road in Manorvile was trapped in his car, in bitter cold temperatures, for nearly two hours before the wreck was discovered at 4:45 a.m. by a passing motorist.

Riverhead Police detectives are seeking information about a single-car crash on Route 25 in Calverton late last night that injured one person.
