STOP DWI

Four people were arrested on DWI charges and the vehicle driven by one person was seized during a special Labor Day weekend enforcement action, Riverhead Police said in a press release today.

Six people were arrested over the Labor Day weekend during stepped-up “Stop-DWI” enforcement efforts, Riverhead Town Police said Wednesday.

A Riverhead Police Department STOP-DWI enforcement overnight resulted in four arrests, three of them at sobriety checkpoints overnight and a fourth following a single-car crash near the L.I. Expressway exit 72 eastbound off-ramp.

Six people were arrested during a Labor Day weekend Stop-DWI enforcement action conducted by Riverhead Town Police from 4 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Riverhead Police arrested five people and issued numerous summonses in a "STOP DWI" enforcement action on St. Patrick’s Day, police said in a press release.
