Six people were arrested over the Labor Day weekend during stepped-up “Stop-DWI” enforcement efforts, Riverhead Town Police said in a press release this morning.

Riverhead Police reported the following arrests as a result of the enforcement effort:

John Joseph Finn, 55, of Riverhead was arrested on Sept. 2 on charges of Felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree and criminal possession of stolen property. Police said Finn was in possession of a stolen vehicle at the time of his arrest.

Hilario Hernandez Rubio, 41, of Riverhead, was arrested on Sept. 2 on a charge of Felony DWI.

Ciara A. Love, 21, of Riverhead, was arrested on Sept. 3 on a DWI charge.

Ricardo Polanco Peraza, 37, of Riverhead, was arrested on Sept. 1 on a DWI charge.

Alonzo Sazo-Tocay, 33, of Riverhead, was arrested at a checkpoint on Sept. 1 on a DWI charge.

Nancy Walker, 68, of Greenport, was arrested Sept. 1 on a DWI charge.

The enforcement effort, including increased patrols and sobriety checkpoints began on Friday, Aug. 31 and continued into Monday, Sept. 3.
