PUBLIC NOTICE

Pursuant to Section 267 of the Town Law a Public Hearing will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York on March 8, 2012 at the Riverhead Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, New York not before the time shown below on each of the following appeals:

7:15 p.m., prevailing time, Appeal No. 12-07, the appeal of Timothy Murphy, 206 Raynor Avenue, Riverhead, New York, for variances to Chapter 108, Section 108-279 of the Code of the Town of Riverhead, requesting permission to construct a one story wood framed commercial building having a rear yard depth of 10 feet instead of the required 50 feet, having side yard widths of 6.0833 feet and 10 feet, respectively, instead of the required 30 feet each side, having a combined side yard width of 16.0833 feet instead of the required 60 feet, Section 108-280 requesting permission to provide for prohibited parking located within the front yard and within 20 feet from side yard property lines, Section 108-64.1B, requesting relief from the requirement of planting street trees, and Section 108-56, requesting permission to erect a free standing sign having 3 feet from the front yard property line instead of the permitted 15 feet.

7:20 p.m., prevailing time, Appeal No. 12-08, the appeal of Donald E. Snyder, 789 Sound Shore Road, Riverhead, New York, for a variance to Chapter 108, Section 108-10.1 of the Code of the Town of Riverhead, requesting permission to construct a deck with stairs attached to a single family residence having a rear yard depth of 32.2 feet instead of the required 60 feet.

7:25 p.m., prevailing time, Appeal No. 12-09, the appeal of Ottoman Enterprises, 626 West Main Street, Riverhead, New York, for variances to Chapter 108, Section 108-279A of the Code of the Town of Riverhead, requesting permission to erect an automotive service station and convenience store having a front yard depth of 13.25 feet instead of the required 30 feet; a rear yard depth of 41.667 feet instead of the required 50 feet, a side yard width of 23.917 feet instead of the required 30 feet, a combined side yard width of 55.417 feet instead of the required 60 feet, and to provide for 64.95% impervious surface instead of the permitted 60%.

7:30 p.m., prevailing time, Appeal No. 12-10, the appeal of John & Frances Brady, 17 West Fairview Avenue, Riverhead, New York, for variances to Chapter 108, Section 108-10.1 of the Code of the Town of Riverhead, requesting permission to construct a two story single family residence with an attached covered porch and terrace having a front yard of 20 feet instead of the required 50 feet, having a rear yard depth of 9.2 feet instead of instead of the required 60 feet, having a side yard width of 20 feet instead of the required 25 feet  and to provide for 19.26% impervious surface instead of the permitted 15%.

7:35 p.m. prevailing time, Appeal No. 12-11, the appeal of Anastasios Sotiriou, 46 Nautical Drive, Riverhead, New York, for variances to Chapter 108, Section 108-10.1 of the Code of the Town of Riverhead, requesting permission to construct a front porch and rear deck attached to a single family residence having a front yard depth of 6.9 feet instead of the required 50 feet, having a rear yard depth of 39.4 feet instead of the required 60 feet and to provide for 34% impervious surface instead of the permitted 15%.
