  • 2nd Place Unarmed Platoon led by Tom Kopp
  • 2rd  Place Varsity Inspection led by Leanne Weber
  • 3rd Place NS-1 Inspection led by John Roca

Lt. Col. McCarthy commended his cadets for “an outstanding job” and noted that many of the students who competed in Saturday’s event were participating in a drill meet for the first time. “There was also an air rifle competition in addition to the drill competitions, so this was a fun meet for our cadets,” he said.

Riverhead’s team will compete in a North Rockland competition on March 24th and will then travel to Middletown, N.Y. in early May for the Area 4 Finals.

The NJROTC Chinese Auction fund-raiser at Riverhead High School is scheduled for April 21. It’s one of their biggest fund-raising events; so don’t miss it.
