Muriel H. Schwab of Founders Village in Southold died on Nov. 1, 2012. She was 98 years old.

She was born on September 3, 1914 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Dene W. and Elizabeth (nee Kelly) Hallam.

A North Fork resident since 1945, she summered in Cutchogue until moving here permanently in 1973. Formerly of Garden City and Nassau Point, she has lived in Southold since 1990.

Predeceased by her husband, George L. Schwab, Jr.; a son, George L. Schwab III and a daughter, Nancy Schwab Muncy; she is survived by her daughter-in-law: Geri L. Schwab; grandchildren: George L. Schwab IV, Craig M. Schwab, Tammy Taglieri and Scott Robelen; and great-grandchildren: George L.Schwab V, Riley and Griffin Schwab, Michelle and Samantha Taglieri and Gage Robelen.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 9th from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. Funeral services will commence at 12 Noon by Rev. Dr. Peter J. Kelley. Interment will follow at Cutchogue Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Eastern Long Island Hospital, 201 Manor Place, Greenport, New York 11944 would be appreciated.
