One woman sustained minor injuries in a two-car collision at the intersection of W. Main Street and Center Drive at around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The male driver of a silver sedan said he was traveling westbound on W. Main Street when he turned left onto Center Drive, colliding with a white Hyundai that was traveling eastbound on W. Main.

The man, who declined to give his name, had one passenger in his vehicle. The Hyundai had no passengers.

“She hurt her hand a bit,” he said as a Riverhead Ambulance Corps ambulance pulled away. “None of us were badly injured and we’re all very lucky.”

Airbags deployed in both vehicles.

Stony Brook University Medical Center’s First Responder unit also responded.
