Update 7:15 p.m.: Riverhead Police have identified the woman found dead in a W. Main Street motel room as Kathleen Meehan, 41, of Riverhead. The exact cause of death has not been determined, but is believed to be non-criminal in nature, police said in a press release issued this evening. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene to investigate and will conduct an autopsy to determine cause of death, police said.
Update 3:15 p.m.: Riverhead Police detectives said this afternoon there was no foul play in the death of a woman whose body was discovered in a room at the Greenview Inn earlier today. She appears to have died of natural causes, Det. Mark Stromski said.

Riverhead Police are conducting a death investigation this afternoon at the Greenview Inn motel on West Main Street.
Police were called to the motel at about 12:30 p.m. when an employee discovered a woman lying unconscious in one of the rooms at the motel. The woman was bleeding when discovered, according to the radio dispatcher, but the source of the blood was not known.
Responding officers determined that the woman was deceased.
Riverhead Police detectives are on scene. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office has been called, according to an officer. Police have not yet determined if the death is suspicious in nature, he said.
