Anita J. Fiore of Mattituck died on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue. She was 69 years old.
She was born in NYC on October 23, 1946 to Rosaria J. (nee Buttitta) and Domenico Cosolito and raised in Greenwich Village. The family moved to Long Island when she was a teenager and settled in West Babylon.
A graduate of West Babylon High School, she moved to Mattituck in 1971.
For many years, she worked at the 7-Eleven stores in Cutchogue and Southold. In more recent years, she was a home health aide with East End Hospice.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed celebrity gossip and was an avid reader of the Star and Enquirer. She also enjoyed cooking, especially Italian food.
Predeceased by her brother Dennis Cosolito, she is survived by two daughters Sheryl Ann Fiore of Patchogue and Danielle (Ned) Grathwohl of Mattituck, two granddaughters Skyler and Macie Grathwohl and her fiancé Richard Gibbs.
Her granddaughters were everything to her said family members.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Cutchogue Cemetery.
