New York Wine Events will hold its third Annual North Fork Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival at Jamesport Vineyards, Saturday, June 24, 2017. Guests can choose to attend either of two sessions — from 12 to 3 or 4 to 7 p.m. The festival is under tents, so it will be held rain or shine.
The festival will feature over 20 wineries from Long Island and beyond with 100-plus wines to taste, light bites including cheeses, charcuterie, crudités, breads and crackers, plus sampling tables from an array of artisanal food and beverage companies. Winemakers and key vineyard personnel will be on hand to discuss the varietals available.
“With two popular and successful North Fork Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festivals in recent years, we’re pleased to have New York Wine Events once again return to our vineyard for this annual event,” says Ronald B. Goerler Jr., president of Jamesport Vineyards.
He explained that this is an “opportunity for North Fork and East End wineries to promote the region and raise awareness about the high quality and diversity of our locally produced wines and artisan fare.”

Wine tasting tables located throughout the tents will include a diverse selection of reds, whites, roses and sparkling wines from the North Fork and other regions of New York State, and as far away as Chile and Slovenia. Participating North Fork vineyards will include Harbes Vineyards, Jamesport Vineyards, The Lenz Winery, Lieb Cellars, Martha Clara Vineyards, Pugliese Vineyards, Palmer Vineyards, Raphael Vineyards, Saltbird Cellars, Sannino Vineyard, Sherwood House Vineyards, Suhru Wines and T’Jara Vineyards.

Artisan food and beverage makers from the East End, as well as an array of companies from points beyond, will be offer samples including baked goods, chocolates, jams, teas, chips, and more. Local participants to date include Joann’s Desserts, Salsa Di Parma, Peconic River Preserves, Subtle Tea and Vines & Branches.
The Kenny Harris Trio will play live music. Harris regularly performs around the country and has played with a Who’s Who of contemporary jazz artists, according to a press release issued for the event.
Sam Kimball, the founder of New York Wine Events, said, “it’s always a joy to be out in Long Island wine country and to be able to showcase the region’s noteworthy wines and provide wine lovers — from novices to those with a more seasoned palate — with a very up close and personal experience featuring a stunning vineyard as the backdrop.
