The Flanders Fire Department is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding Saturday afternoon with a parade on Flanders Road and a party at the Flanders Men’s Club.
The parade will begin at Evergreen Road at 3 p.m. and proceed to the firehouse. Flanders Road (Route 24) will be closed to traffic between Evergreen Road and Firehouse Lane from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The community is invited to a party after the parade at the Flanders Men’s Club. There will be free hot dogs, soda, music, games and face-painting for kids and a 50/50 raffle. A cash bar will also be available.
