Riverhead Police report the arrest of West Babylon man on a grand larceny charge early this morning.
Police patrol units responding to a report of a larceny from a vehicle in progress at 277 Old Country Road just before 4 a.m. today located a suspect near the scene who was identified by a witness, according to a police press release. Numerous assorted tools and plumbing supplies were located near the scene, police said.
Police arrested and charged Russell Harman, 49, of West Babylon with grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony, according to the report. Harman was processed and held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
