Riverhead Lions Club celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a traditional corned beef and cabbage feast, Irish music and step-dancing Thursday night at Bistro 72 at the Hotel Indigo.

The Lions Club St. Patrick’s Day dinner is a Riverhead tradition dating back more than 20 years. About 160 guests turned out for the celebration.

Riverhead Lions Club, charted in 1947, is part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club organization comprising a network of 1.3 million people.

Lions Club volunteers work to help meet the critical unmet needs of the local community and beyond, from assisting the visually impaired and working with local youth to medical missions and disaster relief.
