Bonnie A. Schroder of Jamesport died on Jan. 5, 2026, at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 77 years old.
She was born on Sept. 13, 1948, in Greenport to Raymond and Estelle (Adamiak) Schroder. Bonnie graduated from Riverhead High School in 1966 and attended Stony Brook University. She worked as an executive secretary for Suffolk County Municipal Employee Benefit Guide Group. Her family said she was known as “Bonnie the cake lady,” making custom cakes for many in the area.
She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Philip Ashley of Jamesport; her children, Michael Schroder of Calverton and Renee Zuhoski of Aquebogue.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 2 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home.
