Francis “Ed” Beisner Jr. died July 11, 2026, at home. He was 101 years old.
Born May 8, 1925, in the Bronx, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He attended Stevens Institute of Technology through the GI Bill and, upon graduation, went to work for LILCO, where he spent his entire 36-year career as an engineer in power generation. He married Dolores in 1950, and the couple moved to Long Island, where they raised their six children. His family expressed appreciation for the care provided by his aide, Lorna, during the past year.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores; his children, Mary Ellen, Edward (Mary Ann), Thomas (Regina), John (Elizabeth), Patricia (David) and Daniel (Jeaneen); 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home.
