All 23 retail establishments checked by Riverhead Police Monday during an enforcement sweep targeting the sale of tobacco and vape products to underage patrons were found to be in compliance with the law, police said in a press release.
The compliance checks, conducted Aug. 24, targeted the sale of tobacco and vape products to customers under the age of 21, according to police. The Riverhead Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing Enforcement (COPE) Division conducted the checks in cooperation with the Riverhead Community Awareness Program.
The following vendors were checked and found to be in compliance, police said:

- Riverhead Stationary, 407 E. Main St.
- Mobil, 415 E. Main St.
- Polish Town Deli, 432 Pulaski St.
- Shell, 626 W. Main St.
- 7-Eleven (formerly Speedway), 6305 Route 25A
- Wading River Smoke & Vapor Shop, 6278 Route 25A
- Valero, 5904 Route 25A
- BP Gas, 4670 Route 25
- Sunoco, 4129 Middle Country Road
- Bolla Market/Mobil, 3705 Middle Country Road
- Sunoco, 1879 Old Country Road
- One Stop Smoke Shop, 1698 Old Country Road
- Bolla Market/Mobil, 1575 Old Country Road
- Empire Gas, 1050 Osborn Ave.
- Valero, 1356 Old Country Road
- Gotham Smoke, 1085 Old Country Road
- 7-Eleven (Traffic Circle), 1050 Old Country Road
- Bapa Vapor & Smoke Shop, 763 Old Country Road
- American Gas, 1427 Main Road
