Four Riverhead civic associations will host three forums this month featuring Town Supervisor Jerry Halpin and his challenger, Council Member Ken Rothwell.

The Greater Calverton, Wading River, Greater Jamesport and Heart of Riverhead civic associations are organizing the events at locations across the town. At each forum, the candidates are scheduled to answer questions submitted in advance about town issues and their goals for Riverhead.

The forums are scheduled for:

  • Thursday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m. — Greater Calverton and Wading River civic associations, Riley Avenue School on Riley Avenue in Calverton. Questions may be emailed to GCCA1992@gmail.com through Oct. 11.
  • Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. — Greater Jamesport Civic Association, Jamesport Meeting House, 1590 Main Road in Jamesport. Parking is available at the George Young Community Center on the south side of Main Road. Questions may be emailed for consideration to gjamesportcivic@gmail.com.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m. — Heart of Riverhead Civic Association, Riverhead Free Library, 330 Court Street in Riverhead. Questions must be emailed to HeartofRiverheadCivic@gmail.com by Oct. 19.

The associations encourage attendees to arrive early. Each forum will begin at its scheduled time.
