Riverhead High School’s Blue Masques drama club will present Carrie: The Musical Thursday and Friday, Oct. 29 and 30, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m. at the high school.
Based on Stephen King’s novel, the musical follows Carrie White, a teenager bullied by her classmates and controlled at home by her deeply religious mother. As Carrie discovers she has telekinetic powers, the prospect of attending prom offers a chance to fit in — until an act of cruelty sets off devastating consequences.
Jillian Nohejl plays Carrie, with Eden Greenwood as her mother, Margaret White. Laura Nitti is the Blue Masques’ faculty advisor.
Tickets are available at the door for $15, or $5 for students, cash.
