When Army National Guard Captain Charles Sanders realized young soldiers deploying to Afghanistan were too young to remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001, he set out to help educate them about the history leading up to that day and the wars that followed. He will give a presentation on the subject Sept. 7 in Peconic.
