Attempted robbery

An employee at International Connection, located in the Osborn Plaza shopping center at 435 Osborn Avenue, called 911 Monday night to report a robbery in progress by a masked man with a handgun.

One of the men arrested in the attempted holdup is a parolee released from prison in March on a prior attempted robbery conviction. The other man was found to be in possession of a stolen debit card and was additionally charged with Grand Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property offenses.

A West Main Street liquor store employee told police two men wearing masks, one who displayed a handgun, entered the store at around 8:10 p.m. and demanded money.They fled without proceeds, police said.
