Riverhead police officers greeted residents at four locations across town this morning for the annual Coffee with a Cop Day, an event held on this day across the U.S. to encourage informal interaction between police officers and community members.

"Coffee with a Cop Day” is back this year in Riverhead offering residents the opportunity for informal conversation with Riverhead police officers at four locations across town Wednesday morning.

The Riverhead Police Department will host four informal sessions on Wednesday morning, Oct. 3, from 8 to 10 a.m. at locations across town, offering residents a chance to get to know the officers in their community.
