Riverhead Town Police reported 196 criminal incidents and 131 arrests in July 2023, according to a monthly crime report released by Police Chief David Hegermiller this month.

A Calverton man pleaded guilty today to charges of assault and burglary for attacking and slashing his ex-girlfriend’s family with a razor blade after forcing his way into their home last year, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney said in a press release.
