Riverhead Town settles contract with town workers’ labor union
Riverhead Town has settled its labor contract with its largest employee union, with a contract that provides a cumulative 1.875-percent wage increase over a four-year contract period, from Jan. 1, 2015 through Dec. 31, 2018.

Board members shoot down Dunleavy’s proposal to give elected officials annual cost of living raises
Councilman John Dunleavy’s proposal to provide an automatic annual raise for all elected officials died on the vine last night when he could not get the support of the four other town board members to set a public hearing on the idea. But the public had a hearing anyway.
