Flooding

The nor-easter moving toward Long Island already caused significant flooding in downtown Riverhead during this morning’s high tide — even though the rain had not yet begun.

Riverhead will have a town-wide state of emergency and travel ban tonight, as NWS ups snow totals and wind speed predictions for East End.

Wind, coastal flood and frost advisories issued for Suffolk County Nov. 2. A gale warning is also in effect for eastern L.I. Sound.
