Vandals went on a mailbox-smashing spree in the Timber Park neighborhood of Calverton Friday night.
Riverhead Police took 23 criminal mischief complaints Saturday morning, as residents awakened to find their mailboxes knocked down or damaged.
The neighborhood is located just west of Fresh Pond Avenue on the north side of Middle Country Road, opposite the Calverton enterprise park.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500.
