The Riverhead Highway Department is resurfacing the entire length of Edgar Avenue in Aquebogue today, beginning at approximately 7 a.m.

Edgar Avenue will be closed this morning, “probably till just about noon” due to the paving work, Highway Superintendent Gio Woodson said.

Highway crews will then move to Wading River Manor Road, where they will do paving work between Route 25A and the elementary school, Woodson said.

Motorists should choose alternate routes.
