A man police describe as “undomiciled” was arrested on felony drug charges this afternoon following an East End Drug Task Force investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics in the downtown Riverhead area, according to Riverhead Town Police.

Warren T. Lamb, 56, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance (heroin) in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, both class B felonies, police said in a press release issued tonight. Task force members also recovered quantities of heroin and marijuana on Lamb, police said.

Lamb is being held overnight for morning arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, according to the report.

Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
