If you are a Riverhead student and don’t like seeing litter in our parks and on our beaches, this event is for you.
The Riverhead Youth Planning Board is planning an Earth Day cleanup community service event on Sunday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A Recreation Department bus will leave the Senior/Rec Center at 60 Shade Tree Lane in Aquebogue at 10:30 a.m. sharp and return by 2 p.m. after visiting Iron Pier Beach, the riverfront area and Veterans’ Park. Lunch will be provided at the riverfront stop.
You must call or email to reserve a spot on the bus and a permission slip needs to be signed by your parent or guardian when you are dropped off in the morning.
The planning board will certify your hours as fulfilling your community service commitment.
To reserve a spot, call 631-722-4444 ext. 740 or click here to email to reserve a spot on the bus.
